	I've been doing these things for over 20 years now, in a wide variety of different environments and formats. They have also allowed me to branch out as a subject matter expert (or, at a minimum, a subject matter "intermediate") on more than a few topics. And finally, I've been able to learn the inner workings of platforms like MediaWiki to the point of being able to provide support for those platforms. But as my [[My Work Philosophy|personal philosophy]] and [[Portfolio|portfolio]] demonstrate, there's more to it than writing, editing, and teaching. I also conduct research of many types, typically academic but also industry-based. I tutor English and Spanish occasionally. But most importantly, I help people realize their word-driven vision through the use of vocabularies, tools, and knowledge. I also help them put some of those tools—like MediaWiki—to use, and learn a thing or two about writing along the way (like the concept of parallelism).
